“Ryan Feerer is a designer, illustrator, and educator. He enjoys making good things for good people. If you want to be one of those good people; please email Ryan at the address above.”
Between typography and illustration, Ryans arsenal is very diverse. A student told me about him last year and gave me one of his cards. It’s sat just below my monitor in plain sight for a full year. The card alone commands respect thus earning his place on the Command+Z Blog-O-Fame.

Villa Type
WHAT IS VILLATYPE?
After admiring the signs and lettering on my walks to work, I wanted to document what I had found. We often discuss the cultural impact of architecture and urban spaces but rarely the words and letters found in these spaces. So here is villatype, a visual record and discussion of type and lettering found in the public domain. I hope you will all take part by adding to the dialogue and posting your own finds.
